Calima by Dani Garcia: The bars and restaurants of Gran Melia Palacio de Isora are as spectacular as the rest of the hotel. Gran Melia Palacio de Isora has a world famous restaurant: Calima. The restaurant Clima is run by the prestigious Spanish chef and holder of two Michelin stars, Dani García.

The Spanish chef Dani Garcia is actually considered one of the very best chefs in the world and a pioneer of the International Nouvelle Cuisine.

The exquisite and creative cuisine of Dani García offers an evening of elegance in one of the most unforgettable destinations in the world. The Restaurant La Calima at Palacio la Isora is an a la carte restaurant with seating for 60 guests, offering creative and exclusive cuisine: The Restaurant Calima is among the very best restaurants in all Spain and in the world.

The chef, Dani Garcia, who holds two Michelin stars, (the first one won for his work in the Tragabuches restaurant in Ronda and the second for the Calima in the Gran Meliá Don Pepe, is a chef from Marbella, born in 1975, who started his cooking studies at the early age of 18 in the “La Consula” Catering School in Malaga. After training with the also very well known Spanish Chef Martín Berasategui, he worked in several restaurants in the province of Malaga.

In 1998 Dani Garcia opened the Tragabuches restaurant in the city of Ronda, where he worked as Head Chef until he opened Calima in 2005. A flagship of Haute Cuisine of Andalusia.

Dani García offers a stimulating gastronomic experience in the Calima Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora restaurant, designed specially for the heavenly setting of the hotel and in line with the profile of its guests. As far as the design is concerned, Calima is elegant rather than ceremonious. Calima was designed to appreciate the difference of enjoying modern Mediterranean cuisine in the relaxing atmosphere of an expansive and attractive sea-side resort.
