Benahavis - Costa del Sol has more to offer than only beaches and golf courses. Just a few miles up towards the mountains, there are several small villages that are well worth visiting, one of them is Benahavis. Tourism Benahavis Malaga.

Benahavis is not a typical Spanish mountain village any more, but it still looks like one. The population in Benahavis is only around 2 500, most of them are not Spaniards but resident tourists who have chosen not to live on the bustling Costa del Sol, but still very close to some of the most popular tourist destinations in Malaga in southern Spain.

Benahavis is located 7 kilometers from the coast between Marbella and Estepona. Benahavis is well known for its golf courses and restaurants, people from all over Costa del Sol comes to Benahavis to eat. The views of the mountains and the sea are fantastic in Benahavis.

Benahavis is surrounded by beautiful countryside and in the municipality, there are half a dozen golf courses, and several hotels. Nature walks and bike tours are popular in the mountainous area around Benahavis.

Benahavis has always been famous for its gastronomic variety and quite rustic but fine restaurants serving local specialities. Spaniards living on Costa del Sol used to go to Benahavis to enjoy typical local dishes, such as paella with rabbit. Now the restaurants in Benahavis have changed and offers more international menus, according to the demand of tourists from all over the world.

New times came with the tourism and the number of restaurants in Benahavis grew and doubled again and again. Now you can find almost anything that you can imagine on the menus of the restaurants in Benahavis. Lamb, game and pork tenderloin are still very popular local specialties.
