Spanish Golf Courses
The major projects currently underway in the city, especially those related to improving and extending infrastructure, will have an enormous impact on congress and business tourism by proving to both Spanish and international organisers that Seville is firmly committed to maintaining its status as a world-class city. This has been amply demonstrated on a number of occasions, including Expo 92, the European Heads of State Summit in 2002, the NATO Defence Ministers Meeting in 2007, and the countless congresses and business meetings that do not make the headlines but nevertheless take place in the Spanish city of Seville throughout the year.
The centre combines a section for conventions and another 40.000 square metre section for exhibitions. More 1.000 events have consolidated many of them, such as: The Fighting Bull World Fair, The Flamenco World Fair and International Horse Fair. An average 25 fair are held each year, as well as between 80 and 100 events congresses (which at times have reached 6.000 participants), conventions, business meetings and other events, such as The European Summit and The Summit Minister of Defence of the OTAN.
Each year FIBES receives approximately a million visitor for conventions and fairs. The city's exhibition and convention centre is soon to be extended to include a new complex, adjacent to the current facilities, with a capacity for 3,000 people.
The hotel capacity of the city has been increased with more than 20.000 hotel beds in recent years. Today an extensive variety of hotels are available to cover each and every need of Congress, Convention, Business and Incentive Tourism and Meetings tourism in Seville, and of course all adapted to the visitors needs.
The city's Hoteliers Association make big efforts to ensure that all hotel establishments meet the visitor's requirements, and offers all the facilities required to host all kind of events.
Despite being a modern city, Seville boasts a certain timeless quality and it is still possible to admire a large number of palatial houses whose structural form and architectural merits make them very special venues for congresses, incentive events, press conferences, meetings, receptions, cocktail parties, gala dinners, etc.
