Early Car Bookings For Easter

For all that Easter is still nearly a month away, it's never too early to start thinking about planning your Easter break. Auto Europe advises all customers to book their vehicles well in advance of that period, in order to ensure the availability of car hire in their destination of choice. Especially in more popular destinations, namely for
car in Spain or car hire in Italy, they predict a high demand during the Easter period. On top of that, the prices will tend to go up as the demand increases and the availability diminishes, making it all the more important to book early.

If you're still trying to decide where to travel for your Easter time off, there are several recommendations. Seville is well known for its dramatic Easter festivities. The Holy Week is the single most famous event taking place in this historic city in Southern Spain. The mystic atmosphere that pervades the city during this time of year is the result of the impressive processions, where lavishly dressed participants walk the streets of Seville, sometimes accompanied by brass bands. On Monday and on Thursday, local women can be seen in traditional attire, wearing the characteristic Spanish Mantilla.

While in the neighbourhood, you can also take the opportunity to drive a car hire to Alicante for a few days. April in Spain may not yet be quite beach weather, but it will be warm and pleasant for a bit of sightseeing.

Florence is another great destination for the Easter period, owing to its traditional festivities. On Easter Sunday, a parade of soldiers, musicians and locals in 15th century garb will escort an ancient cart loaded with fireworks all the way from the Porta al Prato to the Piazza del Duomo, where the pyrotechnics will be lit in an extraordinary explosion of colour and sound known as the Scoppio del Carro, a tradition which goes back to the First Crusade.

If you prefer something a little less traditional, why not pick up a car hire in the USA and set off on a road trip, just you and the open road. Road trips are a quintessentially American experience and you'll be free to decide your own itinerary and set the pace of your journey, seeing as much or as little of the New World as you choose.
